Dr Beem - allerdoch Medical Advisers of this Department, whose

given on the enclosed letter, for

the purpose of being medically examined.

The letter is to be left with him; and he

will send his report direct to this De-

partment. The fee for the examination will

be paid by the Crown Agents for the

Colonies, if it i recessory for you to travel & mil fo the purpose of the examir tar slum fare

7. If finally selected for the

appointment, you will be provided

with a free first class passage tothe

Colony by a steamer other than a mail

steamer on your signing the usual

agreement with the Crown Agents for

the Colonies, Whitehall Gardens, S.W., by

which you will be bound to repay its

cost to the Colonial Government

in the event of your leaving the

service of the Government within

three years of the date of your

arrival in the Colony for any other

reason than mental or physical.

You will be entitled to

half salary from the date of your

embarkation from this country, and to

full salary from the date of your

arrival in the Colony. In the event

of your appointment being cancelled,

you will not be entitled to any leave

of absence or pay after the date of

the letter by which the cancellation

is notified to you, unless the Governor

subject to the approval of the Secretary

of State, shall grant it on special

grounds.
